What the $50 fee really costs
A flat fee hits small withdrawals hardest. Our arithmetic on Fair Go's published fee:
| Withdrawal | Fair Go fee | Share of the payout | You receive, before bank charges |
|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $50 | 50% | $50 |
| $250 | $50 | 20% | $200 |
| $500 | $50 | 10% | $450 |
| $1,000 | $50 | 5% | $950 |
| $2,500 | $50 | 2% | $2,450 |
The lesson is simple: if you use wire, use it for the largest amount you can, ideally the $2,500 per-transfer maximum. Taking a full $7,500 week by wire takes 3 transfers and costs $150 in Fair Go fees. The same week by Bitcoin or eZeeWallet costs nothing in Fair Go fees.
Charges on your side of the transfer
Fair Go's $50 isn't necessarily the only deduction. If the transfer comes from overseas, as you'd expect from an offshore casino:
- Receiving fees. Some Australian banks charge to receive an international payment.
- Intermediary fees. An international wire can pass through one or more correspondent banks, and each may take a cut.
- Currency conversion. If the payment is sent in a currency other than Australian dollars, your bank converts it at its own rate. Fair Go doesn't publish the sending currency, so ask support.
Ask your bank what it charges for incoming international payments before your first wire withdrawal.
Requesting a wire withdrawal
- Get verified first. Fair Go won't process a withdrawal before that; our verification guide explains the documents.
- Make sure any bonus wagering is finished.
- In the cashier, choose Wire Transfer and request $100 to $2,500.
- Enter your bank details exactly as your bank holds them: the account name (matching your Fair Go name), BSB and account number and, for an international transfer, your bank's SWIFT or BIC code, which your bank lists on its website.
- Save the confirmation and allow for the 2-business-day processing window.
A worked example: a $6,000 win
Say a verified player wants $6,000 out. The $2,500 per-transfer limit means three wires: $2,500, $2,500 and $1,000. That's $150 in Fair Go fees before any bank charges (our arithmetic). Splitting it differently doesn't help: any three wires cost the same, and more, smaller wires cost more. Taking it by eZeeWallet or Bitcoin instead costs nothing in Fair Go fees.
What goes wrong with wires
- A name mismatch. The account name must match your Fair Go account and your bank's records.
- A wrong SWIFT code or account number. The payment can be returned, and banks may charge for returning it.
- A closed or changed account. Update your details with support before you request a payout.
How long a wire takes
Fair Go says it processes withdrawals within 2 business days of the request. It doesn't publish how long a wire then takes to arrive. International bank transfers commonly take a few business days, and longer when intermediary banks or public holidays are involved. Our withdrawal time guide has worked examples, including how the weekly cap stretches a large balance.
When a wire is worth it, and when it isn't
Wire makes sense when
- You want money straight into your bank account
- You don't want to open a crypto wallet or an e-wallet
- You're withdrawing $2,500 at a time, where the fee is 2%
Choose something else when
- You're withdrawing small amounts
- You'd rather avoid international bank charges
- You withdraw often; every payout pays the fee again
The fee-free alternatives are eZeeWallet, which can pass the money on to your bank afterwards, and Bitcoin. Paying in from your bank uses a different method altogether: see our JET Bank Transfer guide. If the rules suit you, open your Fair Go account and set up your payout route on day one.

How much does a wire withdrawal cost at Fair Go?
Fair Go charges $50 per wire transfer. Your bank, and any intermediary bank, may also charge to receive an international payment.

Wire transfer isn't on Fair Go's deposit list. For bank-based deposits, Fair Go lists JET Bank Transfer from $20.

What bank details do I need for a wire withdrawal?
Your account name exactly as your bank holds it, your BSB and account number and, for an international transfer, your bank's SWIFT or BIC code. Fair Go's withdrawal form shows exactly what it needs.
