Paying by bank transfer safely
- Start from the Fair Go cashier, after checking you're on the real Fair Go site.
- Follow the instructions shown for that deposit. If you're given payee details and a reference, use them exactly; a missing reference is the commonest reason a bank payment goes astray.
- Pay from an account in your own name. Payments from someone else's account cause verification problems later.

One firm rule
