How Neosurf vouchers work

Neosurf is a prepaid voucher. You buy one for a set amount, with cash or a card, from a participating retailer or online, and you get a PIN printed on the receipt or shown on screen. Typing that PIN into a merchant's checkout spends the voucher. Neosurf's own site lists where vouchers are sold near you, and it also offers an online account, myNeosurf, for keeping track of voucher balances.

Because the casino only sees the voucher PIN, your bank account and card number stay out of it. Treat the PIN like cash: anyone who has it can spend it, so don't photograph it, share it or type it anywhere but a cashier you trust.

Depositing with Neosurf, step by step

1. Buy a voucher. If you want the 100-NEOS bonus, make sure it covers at least $20.
2. Open the Fair Go cashier and choose Neosurf.

4. Enter the amount and your voucher PIN, then confirm.

The 100-NEOS bonus, worked out

Fair Go lists the offer as "100% bonus, single use" with a $20 minimum deposit. Our arithmetic on that minimum, assuming Fair Go's standard 30x deposit-plus-bonus wagering applies:

• Deposit $20 and receive a $20 bonus, for $40 to play with.
• Wagering: $1,200 in total bets before bonus winnings can be withdrawn.
• At the $10 maximum bet, that's at least 120 spins.

Three details are easy to miss. "Single use" means one claim, unlike WELCOME, which works 5 times. Neosurf deposits from $10 are accepted, but only $20 or more qualifies for the code. And Fair Go's listing states no maximum bonus for 100-NEOS, so check the cashier before you pay in a large voucher. Fair Go also doesn't say whether 100-NEOS and WELCOME can be combined on one deposit; treat them as either-or, and ask support if it matters. Not every deposit needs a code. Fair Go's 25% cashback applies to busted deposits made without a bonus, from $10, rising to 30% on Saturdays and Sundays. That minimum is exactly the smallest Neosurf deposit, so a small voucher can be a cashback deposit rather than a bonus one. If a Neosurf deposit doesn't go through

• PIN rejected: check for a mistyped character, then confirm the voucher hasn't already been spent.
• Not enough on the voucher: the amount you enter can't exceed what's left on it.
