from $20
| Method | Deposit from | Fair Go fee | Speed | Withdrawals |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | $20 | Free | Instant | No |
| Mastercard | $20 | Free | Instant | No |
Fair Go's banking page lists both cards with a $20 minimum and marks every deposit method free and instant (checked 7 October 2026). That "free" describes Fair Go's side of the transaction. Your bank sets its own terms, and that's where the surprises usually are.
How a card deposit works
- Log in, open the cashier and choose Visa or Mastercard.
- Enter $20 or more. If you're claiming the welcome match, enter code WELCOME in the cashier with the deposit.
- Type in the card number, expiry date and security code.
- Approve the payment if your bank asks. Many Australian banks confirm online card payments with an SMS code or an approval in their app.
- Your balance should update straight away. If it doesn't, check your banking app before you try again.
Why Australian cards get declined
A declined card at an offshore casino is common, and it rarely has anything to do with your balance:
- A gambling block. Many Australian banks let customers block gambling transactions in their app. If you switched one on, leave it on: it's doing exactly what you asked.
- Bank policy on offshore gambling. Some banks decline payments to overseas gambling merchants as a rule.
- Online or overseas use switched off. Some cards have overseas or online payments disabled in the banking app by default.
- Fraud checks. A first payment to a new overseas merchant can trigger an automatic hold, especially late at night or for a larger round amount.
- Prepaid and gift cards. Many can't be used for gambling or overseas payments at all.
What not to do: don't hammer the deposit button, which can get your card locked, and never borrow someone else's card. A deposit from a card in another name will stall your verification later. If your bank simply doesn't process this kind of payment, Fair Go lists other ways to pay, compared in the deposit methods chapter of our review.
Credit or debit?
Use debit if you use a card at all. Gambling with borrowed money is the fastest route to a problem, and our responsible gambling page says so plainly. There's a cost reason too: some card issuers treat gambling payments on a credit card as a cash advance, which can mean a fee and interest from the day of the transaction instead of an interest-free period. Check your card's terms before you find out the hard way.
The catch: cards can't receive your winnings
Fair Go pays withdrawals by Bitcoin, eZeeWallet or wire transfer only. However you deposit, you'll need one of these to get money out:
| Payout route | Fair Go fee | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Bitcoin | Free | A Bitcoin wallet address |
| eZeeWallet | Free | An eZeeWallet account in your name |
| Wire Transfer | $50 | Your bank account and transfer details |
Each withdrawal must be $100 to $2,500, up to $7,500 a week, and Fair Go says it processes requests within 2 business days once you're verified. Set up your payout route now rather than after a win. Our eZeeWallet guide covers the fee-free option that doesn't involve crypto, and the wire transfer guide explains when the $50 fee is worth paying.
Cards and verification
When you verify, expect to show the card you deposited with. The usual request is a photo of the front with the middle digits covered, so only the first and last few numbers and your name show. Never send the security code from the back. Our verification guide lists the other documents casinos typically ask for.
Keeping your card safe at an offshore casino
- Type the address yourself or use a bookmark. Fake casino pages exist to harvest card numbers, and they often arrive through ads and unsolicited messages.
- Consider a separate card. Some banks offer a second debit card or a virtual card number you can lock or cancel in the app without touching your everyday card.
- Don't let the browser save the card on a shared computer.
- Read every statement. A charge you don't recognise is worth a call to your bank the same day.
What shows on your statement
The merchant name on your statement is set by whoever processes the payment, and it may not read "Fair Go". Fair Go doesn't publish it. Keep the cashier's confirmation for each deposit so you can match it to your statement, which matters if you ever need to query a charge with your bank. If you're comfortable with all of that, make your first card deposit at Fair Go.

$20 for both, according to Fair Go's banking page (checked 7 October 2026). Fair Go lists card deposits as free and instant.
Can I withdraw to my Visa or Mastercard?
No. Fair Go's withdrawal methods are Bitcoin, eZeeWallet and wire transfer. Set one up before your first withdrawal.

Does Fair Go charge a fee for card deposits?
Fair Go lists card deposits as free. Your bank may add its own charges, such as an international transaction fee if the payment is processed overseas, or cash-advance fees on a credit card.

Fair Go's promotions page doesn't restrict WELCOME to particular payment methods. Enter the code in the cashier with your deposit for 100% up to $200.
